Kent Hammond Brandt was the youngest of two sons born to Schuyler Buell Brandt, Sr. and Marjorie Hammond Green. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, taught Architecture there, and was a successful architect and co-owner of Brubaker Brandt Architects of Columbus, Ohio. He married his college sweetheart, Doris Jean Chard, and together they had 5 children. His cremains were placed in the Memorial Garden at First Community Church, Marble Cliff, Franklin Co, OH.
