Paul Streubel, Sr., 78, of 2212 Adams St., Two Rivers, died early Tuesday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. He had been in failing health for a number of years. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Thursday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers and at 1:30 pm at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. A.L. Schmeling officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers' Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Streubel was born Dec. 16, 1891 at Glidden, Wis., a son of the late Franz and Anna Nitschke Streubel. A World War I veteran, he served with the Army in the Argonne sector. He married the former Esther Wilsmann at Glidden July 24, 1919. The couple moved to Two Rivers shortly after, where he was employed at the former Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co., retiring when he was 65.
