He was born on February 14, 1956 in Mount Vernon to Eugene W. Ball and the late Merilu (Arrington) Ball. He was a 1975 graduate of Big Walnut High School and a member of Genoa Baptist Church. Chris belonged to numerous car clubs in the surrounding area. He was self-employed.
Chris was a car enthusiast and loved going to car shows. Chris enjoyed putting together models of cars and working on his computer which he taught himself how to do. He enjoyed animals, watching birds and attending church services. Chris said that driving made him feel normal. He was the first quadriplegic to be given a drivers license in the State of Ohio.
He is survived by the love of his life whom he recently married: Marcia (May) Ball of Delaware; father and step-mother: Eugene and Crystal (Griffith) Ball of Sunbury; brother: Robert Eugene Ball of Columbus; aunts: Betty Frye of Newark, Darlene (Wes) Starr of Thousand Oaks, Ca.; numerous cousins.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by brother: James Eric Ball.
Friends may call Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will follow immediately at 2 p.m. with Pastor Frank Carl officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park.
