JEANNE RAMBO LAWSON
Jeanne Lawson, 72, of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Keosauqua, Iowa, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa. Celebration of Life services were held Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial was Thursday, at 10:00 A.M., August 4, 2005 in Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua, Iowa.
Jeanne was born August 9, 1932 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Rex and Bertha Rambo. She married Everett Eugene Lawson November 8, 1953 in the Methodist Church of Keosauqua, Iowa. Jeanne graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1949, attended Drake Uiversity and Broadlawns School of Nursing, Des Moines, graduating in 1953. She dedicated 35 years toward helping heal others throughout her career in nursing retiring as an RN in 1988 from the former St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Her passions included swimming, flower and rose gardening, collecting and refurbishing antiques and glassware, sewing, crafts and genealogy.
Survivors include her husband; three sons; six grandchildren; and one brother. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda in infancy, three sisters and two brothers. (V.B. Reg. 4 Aug. 2005)
