Kosciusko
Timothy Cagle Lindsey passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on October 25, 1980 in Greenwood, MS, but he grew up in Kosciusko in the loving care of his grandmother.
Tim was a happy, joyous young man of 34 who enjoyed life and was blessed with countless friends both young and old. He was a barber, hair stylist and a gourmet chef who loved to cook for family and friends. It was always a happy time watching him cook and getting in a frenzy reaching for the right pan or dish and anxiously working to get everything together at just the right time. Even more fun was watching him cook with his grandmother supervising! In recent years he had learned to love classical music and enjoyed attending concerts by the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Tim was not an avid reader, but nonetheless joined a book club and loved the group and the discussions. He was always ready to travel and had many plans for trips in the upcoming year.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Cagle Lindsey and his grandfather, Dewitt Cagle. His grandmother, Helen Cagle, his sister Selena Lindsey Smith (John), good friend Wes Scrape, two nephews, several aunts and uncles including Jerry Cagle, his mother’s beloved brother survive him. He also has many cousins and a vast array of friends who mourn his passing. He was truly loved by all who he knew.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 10 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Jordan’s Funeral Home in Kosciusko. The service will be held at Jordan’s on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with a short visitation period preceding.
There will be a Celebration of Tim’s life in Jackson on Wednesday afternoon October 14 from 5-7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Oakridge Hall.
