Mary Ellen Boyd Wiseman, 84, of Millwood, VA, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mary Ellen was born January 3, 1931 in Warren, OH, the daughter of the late George L. and Hazel M. Rudge. She enjoyed many careers especially Real Estate; however, her favorite was staying at home to take care of her family.
She married Thomas R. Wiseman, Sr. on September 15, 2012 in Upperville, VA.
Tom and Mary Ellen felt blessed to reconnect through high school friends after both lost their spouses. And then the adventure began, they traveled throughout North America in a motor home for eight years before settling in Millwood.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Cynthia D. Voorhies, and husband, Jay, of Lake Villa, IL; step-son, Thomas R. Wiseman, II, and wife, Alexa, of Upperville; step-daughter, Tane’ L. Wiseman of Cuba, NY; two sisters, Jo Ann Schaefer of Wickliffe, OH and Jennifer K. Elswick of Columbus, OH; and three grandchildren, Hope Voorhies, Joshua Voorhies, and William Wiseman. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her first husband, John Thomas Boyd, and a sister, Jacquelyn Holmes.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville with Rev. Robert Banse, Jr. officiating.
