Paula Buzhardt Simmons, 58, resident of 508 North Street, died October 7, 2015, at Hospice House.
Born March 26, 1957, in Greenwood she was a daughter of Jenella Young Buzhardt and the late Paul L. Buzhardt. A 1974 graduate of Greenwood High School, she was also a graduate of Lander College and had attended Piedmont Technical College. She was the former owner/operator of Emerald Insurance Company and had also worked as a medical assistant with Dr. Mobley.
A member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her mother of Greenwood; two sons, William Brandon Jones of Savannah, GA, and John Paul Raines of Greenwood; a daughter, Lindsey Ray (Eric) Livingston of Honea Path; a sister, Wanda (Bruce) Edmunds of Hodges; a brother, Jimi Kazimer of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Casey Williams, Ethan Williams, Ayden River Jones, Ariel Starlynn Raines and extended family.
Graveside services will be conducted at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Alvin Deal officiating.
