Airman First Class Darren C. Phillips, 20, of Havana, passed away on October 2, 2015 in Cambridge, England. He was born December 5, 1994 in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to Michael and Mandi (Litwiller) Phillips.
Darren is survived by his mother, Mandi Phillips and step-father, Sean Sutherland of Farmington, IL, father, Michael Phillips of Hughes Springs, TX, sister, Paige Phillips of Hughes Springs, TX, two brothers, Nicholas Phillips of Hughes Springs, TX and Travis Sutherland of Farmington, IL. Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Alex and Carolyn Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, TX and maternal grandparents, Paul and Linda Litwiller of Hutchinson, KS as well as aunts and uncles, Sandra, Jeremy, Matthew, Natalie, Victoria, Kelly, Terry and Melissa.
Darren was currently serving in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Inspection Section Technician with the 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, stationed at Royal Air Force Station, Lakenheath, United Kingdom. He was a 2013 graduate of Havana High School.
