Kathleen Rathke Hines passed peacefully, with her children at her side, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester on Oct. 8, 2015, at the age of 72, whilst valiantly fighting pancreatic cancer.
Kathie was born on March 23, 1943, in Winona, to Conrad and Evelyn Rathke. Kathie attended St. Francis of Assisi and St. John the Evangelist grade schools in Rochester and she graduated from Lourdes High School in 1961.
Kathie worked at IBM for many years before pursuing an incredibly successful career as a realtor for Burnet Realty and Coldwell Banker Burnet Realty.
Kathie is preceded in death by granddaughter, Elisabeth Murphy, brother, David Rathke and his wife Charlotte Meilander Rathke, sister-in-law, Carmen Rathke, and her parents, Conrad and Evelyn Rathke.
A visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in River Park Chapel of Macken Funeral Home in Rochester; a funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Rochester. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Thomas Loomis will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kathleens's life.
