TUSCALOOSA | Bruce Dalton Mills II, age 54, of Tuscaloosa, died October 7, 2015. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Alberta Baptist Church with Rev. Colby Mouchette, Rev. Keith Pugh and Dr. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Ala. with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory A. Mills; father, Bruce D. Mills; and brother-in-law, William W. Ritchie.Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Hudson Mills of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughter, Katherine Anne Mills of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sister, Marlana Sue Ritchie of Prattville, Ala.; and mother, Patsy Franks Mills of Deatsville, Ala.

Bruce Dalton Mills II, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Born December 19, 1960 in Harlan, Kentucky, Bruce quickly became an avid college basketball fan. Bruce attended Auburn University, where he met the love of his life and his wife of thirty years, Jennifer Hudson Mills. He had a great love for family, especially his daughter, Katherine. He also enjoyed attending Auburn football games with his family and friends.

Bruce and his family moved to Tuscaloosa in 2008 to work for Hunt Refining, where he was the Director of Human Resources. He enjoyed working with the people there and thought of them as part of his family.

Bruce was a faithful member and deacon of Alberta Baptist Church and tirelessly supported all the ministries there. He had a generous heart and a passion for life and helping others. This was evident at home, at church, and in Haiti, where he served on two mission trips. He will besorely missed but his legacy of love will remain.

Pallbearers will be Lanny Holbrook, Joey Hocutt, John Matthews, Ed Barnette, Mark Spencer, Bob Curtis, Will Patton and Andrew Johnson.Honorary pallbearers are his Life Group at Alberta Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Nasby Mills Scholarship Fund at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College, 300 Clear Creek Road, Pineville, KY 40977 or Alberta Baptist Church, 2210 University Blvd. E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
