The Dupuyer Acantha (MT), 4 Jan 1900
William Jackson, of Browning, died on the 30th ult., and was buried last Tuesday. Billy's death will be regretted by a large number of friends who remember him as a man of sterling qualities. He led an eventful life, having put in a good deal of time while yet a youth, as a scout in the Government employ. Of recent years he has lived in the vicinity of Browning, where he had established a comfortable home and gathered quite a bunch of stock. His services were in great demand by hunting parties, who found in him a faithful guide and boon companion.
