Jacqueline J. Mann, 81, of Mercersburg, PA died Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg.
Born December 19, 1933, at Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Ida Mae Robinson Carmack.
Mrs. Mann had worked at Bryers Ice Cream Co. of Hagerstown, and later at the former Shirley Ayers Syrup Factory of Mercersburg. She was last employed, for 16 years, by the Mercersburg Academy Dining Service.
She was a member of MMP & W Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, St. Thomas Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and AARP. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, entertaining her grandchildren, and the game show network.
Her husband of 63 years, Clyde C. Mann, died February 27, 2015.
Surviving family include her six children, Larry & wife Wanda Mann, Rose Pine, and Donald & wife Denise Mann all of Chambersburg, Barbara & husband Curtis Pensinger, Melinda Mann and William Mann all of Mercersburg. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two sisters, Clara Wagner of Mercersburg, Mable Wood of West Columbia, SC, and a brother Harold Carmack of Hustontown, PA. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Audrey Buterbaugh, Margaret Mankowski, Virginia Wolfe, Mary Ressor, Helen Williams, Paul Carmack, James “Rusty” Carmack, and Clarence Carmack
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday October 12, 2015 Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Marlin Neil officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
