Mrs. Vera Ellen Mallette, age 71 of Moss Point, MS, passed away Thursday September 24, 2015.
Vera was born June 24, 1944 in Gulfport, MS. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was known for her Thanksgiving Dressing.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents Paul May and Irene May, sisters Helen Lynns, Virginia Fitzgerald, Ann McVeay and Sandra Emerson, a brother Wayne May and her granddaughters Ashley Mallett & Catrina Poole.
Survivors are her husband Bobby Mallette of Moss Point, MS, her children Sheryl (Robert) Poole of George County, MS, Cathy (Jimmy) Cole of George County, MS, Carol (Latrell) Perry of Petal, MS, Charles Albert of Gulfport, MS, Denice Mallett of Wiggins, MS, a sister Paulette (Buck) Poole of Pascagoula, MS, her grandchildren Chris Poole, Josh Poole, April Farmer, Cari Mallett, Ethen Albert, Brandi Smith, Gabrielle Miller, Christian Perry and Cody Perry. Vera also leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday Sept. 30, 2015 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 12:00PM. Heritage Funeral Home, Escatawpa/Moss Point, MS is in charge of arrangements.
