Rev. David Ivle will officiate the service. Military rites will be b provided by the combined squads of the American Legion #27 and the V.F.W. Post 1565. A time of food and fellowship will follow at the First Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of his daughter, Stephanie Adamson.
Mike was born Feb. 21, 1946, in Burlington, the son of Warren and Eleanor Baird Durst. He married Janice Bachelor in August 1966; they later divorced.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-74 in the Vietnam War.
He was an owner/operator of MCE Durst Trucking Co.
He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He loved drag racing, especially racing his MOPARS and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his daughter. Stephanie Adamson and husband Don Barton of Muscatine, six grandchildren; and his mother, Eleanor Durst of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Nancy, in infancy.
