Lawrence "Larry" H. Bryant, age 73, passed away February 13, 2015 after a long illness in his group home in Elba Twp. known as the Bertram House of Lapeer. He was born in Detroit on January 27, 1942 to Ernest and Mary Bryant. Larry was admitted to the Lapeer State Home and Training School at the tender age of 7 years. He lived at the state home for 31 years before being placed into a Lapeer County community home in 1980. He then moved in with Bill and Cathy Boggs at Country Grove AFC where he remained for many years. Despite his many moves to various group homes, Larry thrived in his environment and made friends at each stage of his life. He will be missed by his peers, caregivers, past and present and his guardian Kathy Diatchun. Larry was preceaded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Bryant; brother Ernest Bryant.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at 1:00 p.m. from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel. Pastor Dave Gerber will be officiating. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations to Heart To Heart Hospice are greatly appreciated.
