Charlotte Elizabeth Bowman Sweet, aged 82, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at Conover Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 24, 1933 in Alexander Co., she was the daughter of the late Omie and Truey Bowman. Charlotte was a member of Friendship Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Hefner; and a brother, Bobby J. Bowman.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wade David Sweet of Conover Nursing Center; two daughters, Susan Foxx and husband, Tim of Taylorsville and Tamala Christopher and husband, Lee, of Winchester, Ky.;son, Teddy Sweet and wife, Lori of Conover; two granddaughters, Melanie Braswell and husband, Tiny and Stacy Kijesky and husband, Rean; six grandsons, Marty Hubbard and wife, Jennifer, Chris Hubbard and wife, Lisa, Jamie Sweet and wife, Ashley, Derrick Sweet and wife, Kelly, Taylor Christopher and Bransen Christopher and 12 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Connor Braswell, Kensley, Mason, Joshua, Madison, and Justin Hubbard, Katelyn, Parker, Austin, and Grace Sweet, and Baby Kijesky.
She is also survived by a sister, Juanita Shook.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 at Friendship Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pastors Gregory and Carol Yeager officiated.
