Melinda Johnson Parker, age 53 of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, October 07, 2015. She was born September 28, 1962 in Texas to the late William “Bill” Horace Johnson and Eva Harris Johnson Brooks. She received her Master’s degree in education and has worked as a teacher at Heard Elementary School for many years. She was a member of Hogansville Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Phaedra Parker of Franklin, GA; son, William Wesley Parker of Franklin, GA; granddaughter, Harlee Lloyd who was the light of her life; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Andy Hull of Ephesus, GA; brother, Steven Johnson of Hogansville, GA; and brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Beth Johnson of Ephesus, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews she adored. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Preacher Brad Crider officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Andy Hull, Anthony Hull, Jacob Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Charlie Boyd, and Earl Brazeal.
