Geneva “Genny” Watson Morris age 89 of Loganville, GA passed away Monday, October 5, 2015.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Lynda Britt of Loganville; grandchildren, Kyle Britt of Atlanta, Kris (Natalie) Britt of Savannah; great-grandchildren Carter, Benton, and Tucker Britt; and sister-in-law, Becky Watson of Waco, GA, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Hessie Watson, siblings, Tom (Betty) Watson, Vivian (Parks) Burton, and James Watson.
Geneva was a native of Gwinnett County. She was a graduate of Grayson High School. After graduation Genny worked in Atlanta during WWII. She then worked several years in the restaurant business before becoming the owner of Genny Lan Motel in Loganville, where she worked for 32 years before retiring. She was a member of Loganville Christian Church.
A Funeral Service Celebrating the Life of Genny will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Clay Manley and Dr. Tolbert Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9th from 5pm-8pm in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Loganville Christian Church.
