Kimberly Bonnett Carter Hayes, 45, of Greenup, Ky., died Aug. 7, 2006, in Ohio State University Hospital.


She was born Oct. 24, 1960, in Mount Sterling, Ky., a daughter of Ruth Fultz Carter of Greenup and the late Bennett Carter.


She was a homemaker. Kimberly would want to be remembered by having a deep passion for singing and was pursuing a recording artist career before becoming ill. Kimberly sang at the Coalton Jubliee, performed at Renfroe Valley, and the Mountain Opera and represented Kentucky Farm Bureau in a singing competition and won.


Additional survivors are a son, Mark Lynn II and his wife, Penny Lee Hayes of Greenup; and many special relatives and friends.


The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at James A. Music Funeral Home, 224 Main St., Greenup by the Rev. Kirtley Sipple. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Ky.


Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at the funeral home.


Friends may make contributions to Greenup Wesleyan Church, 252 E. 4th Ave., South Shore, KY 41175.
