Roger grew up in Jackson Lake and joined the Marine Corp in 1958. He was stationed in Okinawa, and his tour of duty included Hawaii, Japan, Korea, China, Philippines, Borneo and Australia. After eturning home, he and Jeannette Weber married, had three children, and were divorced. Roger then married Judy Davenport Wells in November 1982. He drove trucks over the road until 1978, when he started Patterson Pumping Service that he own and operated until 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, working in his shop, traveling and being with family and friends. Survivors beside Judy included: daughter Rhonda (Jay) Eachus; sons Thomas (Renae) and Pete (Jody); step-sons Shane (Diane) Wells and T.J. (Mandy) Wells; 13 grandchildren; sisters Ethel Wilson and Elsie Seal; and sister-in-law Fern. Preceding were his parents, three brothers, and five sisters. Funeral Service held October 9 at Crossroads Church, 1115 First Street in Fort Lupton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
