Deborah Kay Everett (nee Salyer), 61, a resident of Elyria since 1955, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 following a lengthy illness with Juvenile Diabetes and heart and renal disease at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.

She was born December 31, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Deborah was a graduate of Elyria High School, Class of 1972. She attended Lorain County Community College and was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Elyria. Deborah was Owner,
Operator/Administrator of The Action Center for Early Learning of Elyria 1996-2002, Office Manager and Dispatcher for Everest Transport of Elyria. Later, she was a homemaker and cared for her grandchildren. At her church, she served as Primary President, Young Women's Advisor, and Relief Society. She was a shopaholic, enjoyed gourmet cooking, decorating, gardening, crafting, and sewing. Above all, she loved being a Mom and raising her children and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Everett is survived by her daughter Rebekah "Becki" Watson (Timothy) of Strongsville and son Adam Everett Sr. (Shannon Stokes) of Elyria; "adopted grandchildren" Kassi, Krista, Adam Everett Jr. at home; grandchildren Jiordanne Kaine, Mackenzie Kaine; mother Dorothy Salyer (nee Boone); brother David (Michelle) Salyer of Clearwater, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Everett, infant son Rollin Everett, son Jim Everett Jr., sister Andrea Thorburn, father Kenneth Salyer.

Friends may call 11am-12pm Thursday, October 8 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12090 Durkee Road, Grafton. Funeral service will follow at 12pm at the church. Bishop Raymond Anderson will officiate. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Funeral services have been entrusted to Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, Elyria.
