Jessie "John" Coats, 80, of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015.

He was born Oct. 1, 1935, at Tyronza, Arkansas, to the late Melvin Sr. and Dossie Edwards Coats.

Survivors include his son, Terry 'Elizabeth' Coats of Cherry Valley; daughter, Donna Jean King of Vanndale; brother, Joe Coats of Greenbrier, Tenn.; sister, Dorothy Monsorno of Greenbrier; eight grand-children, and seven great-grand-children.

Funeral services were at Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home. Interment was in Vanndale Cemetery.
