A Memorial Service for Lynne E. Jensen-Knight, age 65 of Cedaredge, CO and summer residence of Black Lake, will be held 2:00 p.m. August 4, 2012 at Big Island on Black Lake with Richard Young officiating. Boats arranged for transportation to the service will be leaving 42 Knowlton Farm Road at 1:30.

Lynne passed away July 7, 2012 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, and is the daughter of Betty (Young) Jensen of Brier Hill.

Surviving is her husband John; four children, Mark Knight & his wife Rose of Milwaukee WI, John Michael Knight of Tucson AZ, William Knight & his wife Ginny of Tucson AZ, Susan Knight Woodworth & her husband JC of Kendal WI; two brothers, Steven Jensen of Brier Hill, John Jensen of Birmingham AL; ten grandchildren; an Aunt Jenny Young of Hammond; an Uncle Clearn Jensen & his wife Lou of Salt Lake City UT along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Lynne was born on July 26, 1946 in California, and was the daughter of Deloss & Betty (Young) Jensen of Brier Hill. She obtained her education from the University of Florida where she received a bachelor's degree and later attended SUNY Potsdam and obtained her masters degree in reading. She married John W. Knight on September 3, 1992, and was employed as an elementary teacher from the early 70's until 2004 when she retired due to ill health.

A Wake in honor of Lynne will be held in Cedaredge, CO at a later date. Services will also be in Redmond, UT with the Jensen family in the Fall. 
Lynne enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors and cooking.

Memorial donation can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
