Robin Reed Stewart, 72, of Valdosta passed away at South Georgia Medical on October 5, 2015. She was born in Guntersville, AL on November 11, 1942 to the late George Gordon Reed and Bernice Nichols Reed. Mrs. Stewart or "Robin Ann" as she was affectionately known, made Valdosta her home for the last forty seven years. She graduated from Marshall County High School in Guntersville, AL with the class of 1960 and Auburn University in 1964 with her Bachelors of Science in Home Economics (Food and Nutrition). She was a longtime member of First Christian Church, The Valdosta Yacht Club, The Valdosta Country Club, an avid Auburn Fan and member of the Auburn Alumni Association and a Tennessee Squire. She was a Registered Dietician Nutritionist with Templeton Homes, Parkwood Developmental Center and most recently SGMC's Lakeland Convalescent Center and Halcyon Hospice. In her spare time, she enjoyed loving on her cats (Peaches and Pea Pod), cooking gourmet meals, working in her flowers, spending summers at The Landmark at Panama City Beach, attending reunions and visiting with her family, friends and faithful companion Jack.
A visitation for Mrs. Stewart will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 in the chapel at Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
