WATKINS -- Shirley A. Edwards, 80, of Watkins died Monday at the Hilltop Good Samaritan Home in Watkins.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Church of God, Eden Valley. Burial will be in Eden Lake Cemetery, Eden Valley.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home.
She was born March 28, 1927, in Hamilton County, Iowa, to Benjamin and Ina (Allen) Keigan. She moved to Litchfield in 1945.
She married Clifford Edwards on Feb. 15, 1947, in Litchfield. The family then settled in the Watkins area where she resided for most of her life. She also worked as a laborer for ABCO in Paynesville.
She was a member of Church of God in Eden Valley.
Survivors include her children: James Edwards of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Sharon Kruger of Paynesville, Alice (and Ken) Wadsworth of Eden Valley, Anita (and Larry) Janssen of Litchfield, and Lee Edwards of Paynesville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister: Linda Ades of Cherokee, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; a sister; a half sister; a half brother; and daughter-in-law, Ann Edwards.
