Wilma Isabel Andrews, the daughter of Earl and Emma (Thompson) Smith, was born on March 18, 1911 on a farm south east of Mankato, Kansas. She passed away on March 17, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 30 days.

Wilma married William "Bill" Andrews on September 23, 1929 at the court house in Beloit, Kansas. Born to this union was Mary Jane Andrews Mohler, William "Billy" Jay Andrews, Marvin Max Andrews and Alicia Annette Andrews Fricke.

She attended grade school at a country school south west of Mankato and high school in Mankato, after graduating she taught in a country school.

Wilma was a great home maker, a farmers wife and a great mother to four children, always doing lots for others. She was a leader in many things. Wilma was a great cook, always had a big garden, raised lots of poultry and did many chores on the farm. She provided a Christian home for her family. She loved her Church and had read her bible through many times and taught lots of bible studies, she served at sales and church activities, and made many birthday & wedding cakes. She has led her children, grandchildren and many others to Christ. Billy was a retarded son, which she devoted her life too and cared for, she also cared for her husband until he went to the Superior Good Samaritan Center. After selling their home that her husband built, she moved to Superior Manor, where she lived for 11 years, before moving to the nursing home in Superior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, one sister, Dorothy McCulloch, two sons, Billy and Marvin and one grandson, Arlen Mohler.

She leaves to mourn, Mary Jane & Vernon Mohler of Superior, Nebraska; Alicia and Ken Fricke of Great Bend, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Carole Andrews of Cheney, Kansas; a sister, Elizabeth & Lyle Reece of Mankato, Kansas; brother, Jack & Beverly Smith of Salina, Kansas; seven grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Gerald Andrews of Eugene, Oregon; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Wendell Mohler & Rev. Leslie Warner officiating. Music was "Beyond The Sunset" and "Good Night & Good Morning" sung by Alicia Ferguson and congregational hymn "God Be With You", with Carlita Erickson as organist.

Pallbearers were Kerry Andrews, Greg Beougher, Phillip Barry, Blake Barry, Ryan Fricke, and Levi Trautman. Honorary Pallbearers were Steve Shroyer, William Mohler, Nathan Trautman, Troy Bauer, LeRoy Lemke, Kelly Robinson, Trenton Trautman and Clint Shroyer.

Interment was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Mankato, Kansas.
