Ethel May Hickey, a gentle lady, born March 7, 1906 in Clyde, New York, the second child of Reuben and Delia Juffs, died quietly at home March 15, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leslie Hickey, and her son, Kenneth.

She left two children, Yvonne McDowell, of Salt Lake City; and Nancy Cahoon (husband, Diane), of Deer Valley, Utah and Wolcott, New York. She has lived the last two years with her granddaughter, Deborah Gubler (husband, William). Also she left 13 other grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Flossie Brockmyre (husband, William), and Harriet Brown, of upstate New York.

Though she had health problems throughout her life, she was known for her elegant baking for her husband's restaurant. She lived 78 years of her life in upstate New York and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Stars. A member of the LDS Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. in the Riverton 11th Ward, 13400 So. 2400 West. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Funeral directors, Broomhead Funeral Home.

Family suggest flowers be donated to charity of choice.
