(ROANOKE) Graveside services for Barney L. Jones, 78, of Roanoke will be Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery with Burt Jones officiating.
Mr. Jones died Saturday, Sept. 13, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
An Ellaville, Ga., native, Mr. Jones was born Feb, 15, 1936, the son of Oscar Roy and Vera Clyde Womack Jones.
Survivors include: two sisters, Ava Naomi Jones Vestuto of Roanoke and Neva Clyde Rogers of Fayetteville, Ga.; and three brothers, Bernard Franklin Jones of the Phillipines and Burt Delano Jones and Basil Britton Jones, both of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Jones' nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday.
