Mr. Black was born February 6, 1936, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Charlie Clifton and Zella Ethel Morrison Black. He was married to the late Amelia Jane Harrison Black. Mr. Black was a phone technician for 33 years for the local phone company and a bus driver for 42 years for the Lamar County School System. He also helped to manage Black's BBQ and Grill for 10 years.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Beckon officiating. He will lie in state at the church 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00-8:00 PM at the church.
Survivors include two daughters; one son; seven grandchildren.
