Joseph Marlowe Boyle, 52, a resident of Milwaukee and brother of Mrs. T. E. Sullivan, 206 Marquette St., died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Milwaukee, following surgery performed two weeks ago.

A native of Fond du Lac, Mr. Bole was the son of John F. and Susan Patton Boyle, longtime residents of the city. He was a graduate of Stevens Point High School and Marquette University and had been active with the Marquette lecture bureau. Mr. Boyle was a member of the purchasing department of Milwaukee County at the time of his death.

Survivors include four children, Mrs. John Wierdsma, Fostblurg, Md., and Stephen Patton Boyle, Thomas F. Boyle and Miss Susan Mae Boyle, all of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. L. E. Gooding, Madison, Miss Margaret Boyle, Raton, N.M., Mrs. A. J. Fry, Bethlehem, Pa., and Mrs. C. R. Frazee, Stevens Point.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Brett Funeral home, Milwaukee. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose Church in Milwaukee. Burial will be at approximately 1 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery here.
