Roy – Bertha Neeley Cherry, 90, passed away on January 1, 2015. She was born October 1, 1924 in Riverdale, Idaho to Eva Bessie Greene and Milton Meacham Neeley. Bertha married William Earl Cherry on March 21, 1942 in Malad, Idaho; later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

She loved the church and served in many callings; worked in the Ogden Temple Baptistery for many years with her husband. Bertha loved doing puzzles and crocheting; she also loved spending time in the mountains at their property. Her foremost focus in life was family and she had a spit fire personality.

Bertha is survived by her children, Mina (Lee) Jarman, Earl (Michelle) Cherry, Sheldon (Camille) Cherry, Denise (Grant) Hayes, Lisa (Doug) Nelson and raised Louise (Bill) Warkington; she has 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Lou Albistone, Darma Cosper, Jeaneane Browning, Cyral Neeley and Alton Neeley. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and a great-grandson, Nemo.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday prior to the service from 10 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the LDS General Missionary Fund.
