American Actress. Meek was an actress who was best known for the character Ellen Canby on the series "Archie Bunker's Place. She attended Wayne State University and was part of their graduate theater program. In the mid 1960s, Meek toured with the USO and performed for wounded soldiers on Okinawa and other army bases. She returned to the theater in the late 1960s and continued acting on the stage throughout her career, mainly as a member of the Trinity Repertory Theatre (Providence, Rhode Island) company of actors. Besides "Archie Bunker's Place, Meek also appeared on such television series as "Melba" and "Big Brother Jake".
