Roy S. McKee, 93 of Lewisburg, OH died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Brookhaven Retirement Community in Brookville, OH. Roy was born on September 15, 1922 in Adams Co., OH, son of the late, William Dewey & Mary Pearl (Ellison) McKee. Roy retired after 20 years with Waymers Roofing Company. Member of the Brookville Church of the Nazarene. Member of the DAV. Roy proudly served in the US Army during World War II.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Burt, Ray and Glen Mckee; sister, Dorothy Knox; son, Donald Wayne McKee; granddaughter, Melinda McKee.
Survived by his wife of 72 years, Dora L. (Scott) McKee; children, Robert S. (Melinda) McKee of New Lebanon, OH, James R. McKee of Lewisburg, OH, Maryetta P. (Alva) Ridgeway of South Carolina, John R. (Yen) McKee of Vietnam and Thomas S. McKee of Lewisburg, OH; daughter-in-law, Mary McKee of Florida; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Pastor Al Robertson officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
