Peder O. Morreim was born in a log cabin in Manchester township, Freeborn County, on the twenty-third day of March, 1866.
He died at 504 South Broadway, Albert Lea on January 16, 1933, at the age of sixty-six years, nine months, and twenty-three days.
The cause of his death was a general break down with a case of bronchitis.
He lived with his parents, Ole Morreim and Ingeborg (Fossum) Morreim on the old homestead, where Theodore Morreim now resides, until 1892, when, together with his brother, Knute, he moved to a farm in northeast Bancroft township.
With a sister to keep house for them, these two known as the Morreim brothers, planned, toiled, prospered, added more acres, improved their buildings, and also helped lighten the burden for others less fortunate.
They fulfilled their obligations to the community and to their church.
Mr. Morreim was a very tall man in the prime of his life standing six feet, six inches without shoe.
He was quiet, thoughtful and steady, but was at the same time a social able man and well respected.
In 1925 becoming weary of the hard work of managing a large farm and able to afford leisure and recreation, the brothers, who always acted together, turned the work and worry over to the younger shoulders and moved to Albert Lea to make their home.
Mr. Morreim leaves the following brothers and sisters;
Mrs. Andrew Monson (Mary) of Minneapolis
