Although the tombstone photo shows the last name of Lowery, Etta was married to John J. Emery (b~1877 NC) as shown in the 1940 Mascot, Knox Co., TN census with his Emery children and her Lowery children. Etta is listed in the 1930 TN census as a "widow". She was married to Henry J. Lowery.
I have found that when a female remarries after the death of her first husband with which she had children, she is often buried with that husband that she shared children with.
Wondering if you would like to put a note on her memorial that her last name is probably Emery.
