Harold J. Caldwell, 73, of Hickory, passed away, Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.
Born January 25, 1942 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late James M. Caldwell and Catherine Sublet Caldwell.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Harold was the Director of Evening Operations at CVCC. He had attended Appalachian State University and had an associate degree from CVCC.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sanders Caldwell of the home; daughter, Tera Simon and husband Tom of Raleigh, NC; and a brother, Allen E. Caldwell of Lenoir, NC.
A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory. An inurnment will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Catawba Memorial Park.
