Theodore (Ted) M. Caldwell, 85, of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, with Rev. Tim Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Kenova with the American Legion Post 93 Honor Guard conducting military rites. Ted was born July 20, 1930 a son of the late Bogar and Eula (Parsley) Caldwell. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from ACF Industries. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife Dolly (Damron) Caldwell and his second wife Judy Caldwell. Ted was also preceded in death by two brothers Howard and Manford Caldwell and one sister Emogene Brumfield. Survivors include his daughter Kathy Swaney (Jeff) of Kernersville, N.C. and son Steve Caldwell of Kenova, his fiancée, Charlene Romans and grandchildren Christy Napier, Leslie Zigler, Cheryl Thomas, Shawn Harris and Brittany Stephens and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Bob Caldwell (Ruby) and Butch Caldwell of Kenova; and three sisters June Kennedy (Ted) of Fort Payne, Ala., Barbara Ruth Watts (Don) and Judy Roy of Kenova, and many nieces and nephews. Ted will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV. 25709. The family would like to thank all the nurses and the doctor that came to the house to assist with Ted’s care.
