Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Brown Hodges, 81, of the Montgomery community in Lincoln County, were held today at 2 p.m. from Montgomery Baptist Church. Burial was in the Montgomery Cemetery. The Rev. T. H. Maxwell and the Rev. John H. Thomas conducted the services.
Mrs. Hodges died Jan. 10 in Southwest General Hospital in Pike County. She is survived by five sons, Bennie and E.J., both of Ruth, Delos, Leroy and Earl, all of Jayess; three daughters, Mrs. Leona Walford, McComb, Mrs. Lena Moak of Summit and Mrs. Nellie Loving of Brookhaven; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Jones, Columbia. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
