Prior to retirement Carmen worked as payroll administrator for Loma Linda Nursing Home. She married Robert L. “Bob” Jones on January 25, 1969 in Reed Springs, MO and he survives of the home. Also surviving are her two sons, Robert D. Jones and his wife Stephanie of Higbee and Thomas J. Jones and his wife Stephanie of Harrisburg, MO, five grandchildren, James, Raina, Levi, Anna and Bryson, brother, Bill Williams and his wife Brenda of Branson, MO, four sisters, Annetta Hibner of Fort Worth, TX, Joyce Ritter of Southwest, MO, Vivian Williams of Springfield, MO, Judy Pennock and her husband Michael of Branson, MO, mother-in-law, Dorothy Jones of Bethel, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carmen loved going to the Higbee Senior Center and playing cards, attending garage sales, watching NASCAR and most of all she loved her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Higbee Senior Center would be appreciated.
Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation which will be Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cater Funeral Home. Services honoring and celebrating Carmen’s life will be Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, committal prayers and burial will follow at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
