Edward Morris (Red) Davidson, Sr. of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away at his home on Friday, October 2nd after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was a lifelong resident of Clarke County. Retired from Burlington Industries, he loved gardening, taking care of his yard and spending time with his family. He was a delightful gentleman who loved people. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Stonewall, Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife of 65 and ½ years, Jo Lynn Magee, Davidson, his son Dr. Edward M. (Eddie) Davidson of Hamilton, Alabama and his wife Babs, three granddaughters, Ashleigh Williams and her husband Carl, of Demopolis, Alabama, Suzanne Jacobs and her husband Jon of Atlanta, Georgia, Leigh Anne Cochran and her husband Wesley of Hamilton, Alabama, 7 great-grandchildren, Madeline Williams, Marleigh Williams, Meredith Williams, Avery Morris Jacobs, Erin Jacobs, Riley Cochran, and Sam Cochran. He is also survived by three sisters-in law, Mrs. James Otis Davidson (Norma), Mrs. Ronald Eldridge Davidson (Mary), and Mrs. Lowery Speights, (Norma Jean).

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.N. Davidson and Minnie Belcher Davidson, three brothers, Sammie Nathaniel Davidson, James Otis (Bully) Davidson, Ronald Eldridge (Pete) Davidson, three sisters, Mary Grace Davidson, Lucille Creighton, and Geneva Wilkins.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Carpenter, Buster Tindle, Robert Earl Adams, Sonny Spivey, Ronnie Goldman, and Carl Robinson.

The funeral visitation will be at the Wright Funeral Home from 5-8 on Sunday afternoon and one hour prior to the service Monday at the First Baptist Church Stonewall, the funeral will be Monday morning at 11:00 from the First Baptist Church, Stonewall, Mississippi with burial at Stonewall Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Dr. Edward M. "Eddie" Davidson, Rev. Nick Ulmer, and Dr. Albert McMullen.
