She was born July 28, 1965, in Dodge City, the daughter of Bill H. and Janet Kay Harms Headrick. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1983, and received a cheer scholarship to Cowley County Community College, where she excelled in cheerleading and socializing! She moved to Lawrence in 1985 and worked at Dillon’s, where she met her husband. She later worked at Sallie Mae, Sprint/IBM, and helped out at the Campbell family store, Winfield House, in downtown Lawrence. She made many friends along the way, and continued to touch countless lives in work and play after moving to Olathe in 2001.
She married Ken Campbell on Oct. 29, 1988, at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Arkansas City. They have two daughters, Sydney Katherine Campbell, Lenexa, and Samantha Kay Campbell, Kansas City, Mo. Other survivors include her father, Bill Headrick, Arkansas City; a sister, Reneé Hoover, Winfield, Kan.; and a brother, Rock Headrick, Arkansas City.
