Funeral services for McKenzie Andrew Hudson, age 22, will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 23, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe. Officiating will be Father Ray Waldon. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.

McKenzie was born on May 13, 1988, and passed away on December 20, 2010, from complications of a traumatic brain injury. McKenzie was a graduate of the Youth Challenge Program (YCP) at Camp Beauregard. McKenzie enjoyed working with his family's owned and operated business, The Creamery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joey Hudson; grandparents, Fred and Rosanne Frazier.

McKenzie is survived by his mother, Dayna Frazier Hudson; step-dad, Jeff Liner; brother, Frazier Hudson; sister, Caroline "Cricket" Hudson; grandparents, Bill and Velma Zimmerebner; great uncle, Chuck "Sonny" Reid and wife, Lisa; aunts, Cheryl Lowry and husband, Tommy, Robin Frazier, Lisa Waldon and husband, Father Ray, Renee Hudson Hogg, Billie Zimmerebner and Monica Zimmerebner; uncles, Jimi Hudson, Tim Zimmerebner and wife, Beverly and numerous cousin, family members and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to his mentor, Eric Butler, who helped McKenzie through very difficult times.

Pallbearers will be Bret Carr, Trey Weaver, Nathan Carroll, Cody Carroll, Ryan Lenard and David Hanks.

Visitation will be at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.
