Harvey Larry Knight
Harvey Larry Knight, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 26, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nev., where he spent the last 3 years of his life.
Before that he lived in Portland, Ore., where he retired from Intel as a software engineer.
Larry was born on July 13, 1942, in Vernal, Utah, the son of Harvey Milton Knight and Norma La Rue Haynes.
He lived in Grand Junction, Colo. and Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is survived by his sons: Howard, of San Diego, Calif., Calvin (Maureen), of Kaysville, Utah, Scott (Lori), of Las Vegas, Nev.; his daughter, Tricia (Dean) Abbott, of Albuquerque, New Mex.; his sister, Kathy (Don) Bailey, of Grand Junction, Colo.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Larry loved watching sports, playing bingo and tracking statistics of each on his smart phone. He was always up-to-date with technology.
Larry was a life-long member of the B.P.O.E., Elks Lodge.
Everywhere that he went he easily made friends and will be greatly missed. A service will be held this July in Vernal.
