Olive F. Dye, age 88, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born April 29, 1927 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Samuel and Fatemay Ingalls Cooper. Olive was a 1945 graduate of Wellston High School and was a loving homemaker. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston, where she sang in the church choir for over 60 years and was also a member of a ladies trio consisting of Helen Downard, Betty Saltsman and herself. Olive is survived by her children, Angela Dye of Wellston, Stephen Dye of Wellston and Keith Dye (Leeann) of Lancaster, as well as 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Dye in 2014; her son, Edward Phillip "Butch" Dye, who was killed in the Vietnam War, and her siblings, Lilbern Cooper, Lionel Cooper, James Cooper, Bessie Cooper and Ann Rozell Capraro. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
