Mary was the daughter of William Bookhout and Lucy Caroline Hull Bookhout. She married first to James P. Burgar about 1864. James died in 1880 and Mary married next to Urion Mackey on 10 June 1890 at Kingston. He died in 1892.
*Note-I believe Urion Mackey first married to Mary's sister, Nancy Jane.

1855-enumerated at Roxbury with her widowed mother and siblings; Rosanna, Talman, Isac, Osborn, John, and James.
1860-enumerated at Roxbury with her mother and siblings; George, Rosanna, Osborn, John, and James.
1865-enumerated at Athens, New York with her husband of one year, James P. Burgar. He was a minister.
1870-enumerated at Roxbury with her mother and brother James. She was a tailoress.
1875-enumerated at Durham, New York with her husband, a Methodist Episcopal minister. Also living in the household was her brother, Frank H. Linsley.
1900-enumerated at Roxbury as widowed. Living with her was her grand-niece, Ruth Glendening.
1918-resided at Kingston permanently
1924-buried at Roxbury in the Bookhout plot with her brother George and his wife, Adelia.
