Alice McGraw, 71, of Lakewood, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Her husband, Leo McGraw, died Sept. 9, 1990. Born April 29, 1934, in Tunkhannock, daughter of the late Owen and Genevieve Caffery Madden, she was a member of St. Juliana's Church, Rock Lake, and a graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She was a devoted mother to her seven children and to their children. She was always there for everyone with her smile and love. Surviving are six sons, Patrick, Lakewood; Thomas and wife, Charlene, Browndale; William and wife, Beverly, Butler; Mark and wife, Jill, Lakewood; Joseph and wife, June, Lakewood, and John, Lakewood; a daughter, Barbara and husband, Robert, Susquehanna; 14 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, James, Francis, Edward and Eugene, and five sisters, Margaret McGraw, Sarah Slocum, Marion Madden, Rose Smith and Gertrude Robinson. The funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the McGranaghan-Lesjack Funeral Home Inc., 513 Main St., Forest City, with Mass in St. Juliana's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Patrick L. Albert.
