He graduated high school in Lake City, FL, briefly attended Florida State University, was a U.S. Air Force veteran, returned to FSU where he completed his degree in Economics and had a career with State Farm Insurance as a State Farm District Manager helping others establish their own agencies. Preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Niolet Crabb (married 1954), surviving are children, Roy (Jana) of Chapin, SC and Jan Smith (Hal) of Tallahassee, FL and sister, Carole Torrey (Ben) of Jasper, GA. Funeral services will be held October 5, 2015 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, FL. Published in the Florida Today October 3, 2015.
