Mike was born on June 22, 1940, in Joplin, Mo., the son of the late James and Deola (Niel) Robbins. He has been a lifetime area resident.
He married Margaret Ann Russell on Nov. 4, 1961, in Joplin, together they raised two children.
Mike served in the United States Army, the Missouri National Guard and later retiring with the U.S. Naval Reserves. He worked 30 years for Ace Electric, in Columbus, Kan. He coached many years of Little League Baseball, in Carl Junction. He loved the lake, fishing and cooking. But most importantly, his beloved wife and cherished family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Ann Robbins, Carl Junction; one son, Scot Robbins and wife, Michelle, Joplin; one daughter, Gina Robbins, Joplin; and three grandchildren, Morgan Robbins, Kansas City, Mo., Joshua Robbins and Jeremy Robbins, both of Joplin; and numerous relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmie Lee Robbins.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Jeff Jones, minister, will officiate. Burial will be Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-5 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society or American Heart Association.
