Deseret News, October 7, 1997. Obituary: Kenneth Ballard Taylor, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, October 6, 1997, age 77. He was born in Cowley, Wyoming, November 26, 1919, the son of Ernest Alfred Taylor and Laura Ann Ballard. Married his eternal sweetheart, Doris May Jenson, December 4, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. He lived in Billings, Montana for ten years, returning to live in Salt Lake City in 1954. Active in the LDS Church serving in many positions. An entrepreneur in the Salt Lake area, founder of Piece Goods Crafts and Fabrics.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris; two sons, Charles (Elaine) Taylor; John (Sherry) Taylor; three daughters, Penny (Chuck) Morris;, Mary Jo (Craig) Rindlisbach and Launi Marshall; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mable Cox, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, 12 noon at the Draper 3rd Ward Chapel, 600 East 12300 South. Friends may call Wednesday, October 8, 1997, 7-9 p.m. at the McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 1861 West 7800 South and Thursday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
