He was a native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. He was the second youngest of the 12 children of Ernest and Effie Brian. He graduated from Istrouma High School and went on to work at Kaiser Aluminum for over 42 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita Brian; three sons, Terry Brian and Sharon Spelce, David Brian and wife Jill, and Reid Brian and wife Angie; seven grandchildren, Josh, Kelsey, Katelyn, Blake, Cole, Ty, and Conner; and two sisters, Ione Crawford and Myrtis Hicks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at First Christian Church, 8484 Old Hammond Hwy on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 10:30 AM until funeral service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
